The University Park Homeowners Association (UPHA) has created a Yahoo discussion group to foster open community discussions and information sharing. Anyone living in University Park's boundaries* can become a member of this discussion group by CLICKING HERE.
You do not have to be a member of UPHA to participate. Raleigh residents not living within UPHA boundaries are accepted to the group when they live in similar "downtown" neighborhoods and share similar municipal concerns. We do not monitor emails before they are sent or take responsibility for postings; individuals are responsible for their own postings.
This is a free speech zone where neighbors can post thoughts, recommendations for contractors, neighborhood events, community watch/crime related items, etc. We encourage a high level of mutual respect. Please remember your comments go out to approximately 200 neighborhood residents and could potentially travel much further than that.
UPHA would appreciate participants following these guidelines regarding political messages:
- politically related messages should be posted only when they relate to issues directly affecting University Park, e.g., city statutes, planning, neighborhood overlays, CAC's, etc.
- announcements for political events, including fund-raising events, are acceptable when the candidate or host is a University Park resident.
